The achievements of Maureen FitzSimons as a young performer in America (which we call Maureen O'Hara today) would have definitely put her into the category of child prodigies. However, for a child from Irish heritage surrounded by gifted parents and family, they had innate talents. Maureen entered this loving refuge within Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th, 1920. Marguerita Lu. FitzSimons had a successful contralto. His father, Charles FitzSimons, managed the business of Dublin and also owned part of the renowned Irish football team "The Shamrock Rovers." Maureen FitzSimons was the child of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy, Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons made up this beautiful family. Maureen did well as a sporty woman and played rough, athletic games as a child. This naturally-born interest with her ability in performing was astonishing. She was the recipient of nearly all Feis Awards for her home nation's theatre and drama is a testimony to the fact that she was a natural performer. In the age of fourteen, she was admitted to the Abbey Theater, where her ambition was to study operatic singing and classical theater.
